Bluegrass is no more a favorite in the south than it is most places. Personally, I like blues the best, but there are plenty who like rap, hip hop, you-name-it. Please don't stereotype the South.

That's definately a generalization. Most people in the south listen to the same thing as people in NYC, LA, Detroit, etc listen to. Maybe there are more country radio stations here than in other places but that would be because of the south's close proximity to Nashville.
Anyway I do love bluegrass music, there's nothing like seeing the energy a bluegrass band has while playing. Amazing.

well traditional bluegrass is definately not mainstream, and no, the south does not all like bluegrass...or country. It probably makes up only 2 % of the population of listeners. We may have a bigger audience for that sort of thing down here, but its not like the only thing we listen to. Did you hear that from someone or were you just curious? Cuz that is one of the craziest things i've heard in a while.

i imagine it isn't any longer quite that--that is extra self-adverse and self-degrading than insulting to easily women. a lot of those videos glorify what changed into considered plagues on black communities. even as a tremendous kind of hip-hop, even interior the 1880s, turned right into somewhat misogynistic, it were given worse once those attitudes grew to develop into culturally marketable. i imagine at lot of folk the following neglected the point of decay: besides the actuality that if a booty dancer would not inevitably represent your self, i'm no longer quite certain our youthful people comprehend the adaptation. rather for economically deprived youthful people, such videos DO set a foul get mutually for what's socially and morally appropriate.
