make sure everything is healed up ok down there, and get you re-started on birth control if that is what you want. Actually at the last 6-week appt. i had after the birth of my son, my dr. didn't do much at all because I hadn't had an episiotomy or tear or anything.

I was given a pap and my incision was checked asked about depression and asked how was baby! It's a breeze. Oh weight bp and height were checked too. good luck

well at mine i got another pregnancy test. i got a pap smear, breast exam. my episotmy and c-section incision were checked. weight height bp and urine was checked for protien. i was given bc and asked about depression and he asked how the baby was sleeping and what not

a pap and pelvic and breast exam and they check to make sure the episiotomy stiches are healing. they'll also talk to you about birth control and give you the go ahead to be sexually active again.

He makes sure your healed and thats when you get the okay to have sex agian.
