Sometimes I feel kind of groggy the day after. Or at night my mind is a bit confused.....(or more confused for some !).
Thanks for your answers !

I take 2 x3mg tablets. At first one was enough.....straight to sleep. Must be getting used to it.

I tried it, but it didn't help at all. It must depend on the person.

I take melatonin about once or twice a week for sleep... I never feel groggy the day after but it has been known to increase nightmares in infrequent users (it does for me). I feel so much better about taking this other then some sort of sleeping pill, and the occasional nightmare is about the only side effect I get. It usually makes me sleepy in about a half hour after taking it.

I take melatonin at night for sleep. I take two tablets before bed. Just make sure you dont take them too late or you will wake up a little groggy. I usually take them at about 10:00 and wake up at 7:30am. I feel good in the morning. I once took them too late and woke up tired.

try breaking in half. i take 3 mg tabs, and 1 does me pretty good.
I doubt JD above takes 300 milligrams, recommended dose does not exceed three milligrams, he's about 297 over, and since the highest does pills I've seen are 3 mg, he'd be taking 100 pills a night, I'd fall asleep just taking that many.

Yes, it helps very much. I take the 3.00 milligram dose each night about 20 minutes before bedtime. Sleep like a baby.

It comes in 3mg and 1 mg. You may have the stronger dose.

Never tried it; fingers crossed I've never suffered from insomnia. Have you tried exercise? Swimming and yoga both knock me out.

though it came out with much hype melatonin does not cause sleep.it only regulates the sleep-wake cycle.like for eg: in jet lag.
