Jay-z is in his mid to late 30's and people still feel him, 50 cent is like pushing 30 now, so he had to be around 26 or 27 when he really got on.

I'm an artist but I don't want to continue trying past a certain age.

I still look 24, so thats a plus!!

Never stop...because as long as you are alive to live that dream you should keep trying. Never let anyone deter you by saying you are pushing it with age. You never know older age might be the next big thing....it's about your talent and your drive to be the new "IT" rapper in the industry! You never know until you try. Best of luck! I'll buy your album!

Well LL Cool J is in his early 40's he's come out with a few songs but not that big.I think like at 45 it's way over so between 40-45 but then again LL Cool J is really hot and a good rapper so if u don't have those 2 qualities then i suggest u retire sooner than 40.But since u still look 24 i guess u shouldn't worry about that.

I say you should stop rapping around the age of 35. Maybe after that you could take up another career helping others in their rapping careers. That's still a form of rapping but you're just helping someone else.

Never give up, never stop! Age is in the mind of the beholder.
What if you are 55 and you had been rapping all your life but then you decide to quit because you have hit your target age. Then one week later Sean Combs is looking for you in all the clubs and you are not there because you have stopped pursuing your dreams. I say never, never give up and never stop.

If you have not make it by the time you are forty maybe it would be better to switch jobs. There are still twenty years left before reaching retirement and time to save a bit.
