they are emotonally disturbed, they are insane, they spend every sunday doin sumting that makes no sence at all.

Both worship someone who is long dead, both try to convert the nonbelievers, both ask what would Jesus/Dale/whoever do, both will get into a fight if you say anything bad about Jesus/Dale/whoever

They are zealots. The over powering of wanting to belong dims their senses to the point they are akin to lemmings following a leader into the sea of death. Not that they are suicidal but their "lust" borders upon mental unbalance. This would be true for more than the two groups you mentioned and I find groupies of bands to be even more "enraged"
