That's' not true, nobody that lives in this era and age actually like clowns. Back in the day when carnival was the In thing and there was no other form of entertainment, people did like them but now, they're just a form of nuisance. Tolerable but still nuisance.
Even kids don't like them. The whole face painting is totally dated and these days, you dont have to face your paint to look funny. Its more to what you can say- funny, witty, sarcastic and so on. That why there are so many stand-up comediennes now.
Ppl are whole lot smarter now therefore our form of entertainment have evolved too.

I don't like them because:
1) They look rediculous.
2) They always change their voice. They sound stupid.
3) I never get a freaking balloon because I'm a "big girl" now. Mother fI_Ickerz!!
4) They think they're funny, and they aren't.
5) They might act all happy and crap, but inside they're a crazy, inadequate retarded murderer! They're fakes!! Don't let them fool you.
6) Did I mention they never give me a balloon?

alot of ppl are afraid of them ,i think it is beacause of the movie poltergiest,and It by Stephen King i have a freind he is in his upper 30's and if you show him a pic of a clown he goes running ,it is quite amusing,but any way i love clowns

why are people so afraid of clowns?!?! it's just a person in an ugly suit, being paid to make little kids laugh. try "kindergarten-pirate" if you can think of them that way. they're JUST PEOPLE! personally, i would hate to wear their suits, and wouldn't unless you paid me big time. ew. lol. : D
