the computer keyboard? Why are the alphabets positioned this way and not in alphabetical order?

It was the work of inventor C. L. Sholes, who put together the prototypes of the first commercial typewriter in a Milwaukee machine shop back in the 1860's.

The invention of the modern computer keyboard began with the invention of the typewriter. Christopher Latham Sholes patented the typewriter that we commonly use today in 1868. The Remington Company mass marketed the first typewriters starting in 1877.

i'm not sure who invented it. but if you took a typing or keyboard course and learned how to type the write way you will learn why the letters are where they are and you would be able to type 85 wpm like me. i keep telling my daughter that, but she hated her keyboarding teacher and wouldn't pay attention.

there are different types of keyboards but IDK who started it. maybe some guy named Qwerty?
