for the MOST part, yes.

but i'm not naive enough to doubt the existence of corruption and personal agendas.

it depends on how you define trust. In the traditional sense i don't trust that they make the best choices for my future as they say they do. I don't trust that they will be there for me or anyone else if we had another depression. But i do trust that they will make it look like they care about the well being of the country and its citizen.i also trust that they get their rocks off hearing about stupid people who ask if they trust their government. not to be rude but you cant trust any any government to do what you think is right unless you head that government your self.
