I saw a couple of articles on t-nation.com and other sites in which they state that a simple tempo of "lift as fast as you can, lower under control, and use perfect form", which is pretty much like a 10X0 or 1010 tempo (no pauses at top or bottom, 1 second to lower and 1 second or slightly less to lift, so the X means to explode and TRY to move the bar fast), is enough to build muscle mass just as well as German Volume Training can do for anybody.

Some say that the eccentric should be 2 seconds, not more, and some say that the basic rule of bodybuilding is to lower in 4 seconds or more, or to add up to 4 seconds of Time Under Tension between the lowering and the pause at the bottom, or just the lowering phase alone, in order to promote Hypertrophy.

What is the best tempo to get big?

Building muscle is a very personal thing. It can take decades to work out what is best for an individual. The best advice I can give you is to not obsess about these sorts of things and ignore people in the gym who do. Just concentrate on the basics, lift heavy weights, dont overtrain, make sure your workouts work the largest muscles in your body(no chicken legs please), eat big meals if you are really lean and small, be consistent with your training and just remember that magazines are unable to repeat the same keep-it-basic message week in week out or otherwise they wouldnt sell magazines would they?

I know that power lifters train to use explosive force to lift heavier. I have tried to lift fast because it helps me to get into the cardio range and allows me to lift heavier weights than if I was lifting slowly. The only times that I pause at the top is when I am debating on whether or not I can do any more. The best tempo to getting big is what ever works for you. I would also keep changing my routine after ever quarter so that your body doesn't get stagnant and complacent. So my suggestion would be to rotate each type into your routine and see what works best for you.

he metabolic powers specific foods have to make your physique burn more body fat.” It is a way of rating foods, primarily based on “how a lot of calories your body is going to burn just breaking down the nutrients each and every time you consume a particular meals.”
Therefore, you are not alone in this battle.
