it's too hard to tell. it really depends on what you like to see in movies. jokes vs. graphics.... i loved them both! the 3rd movie comes out next memorial day week!!! : D

I liked them both, but I would say The Curse of the Black Pearl was better. I didn't like all the CG in Dead Man's Chest.

The Curse of the Black Pearl was better to me, but Dead Man's Chest was good too. Just not as good. To me, the first one was funnier, and I liked the more "pirate-y" feel to it.

because it was a new idea and that alone gave it booster points
although dead mans chest was REALLY good, i hated how it ended, whats the point in paying to see a film that doesnt finish?!

I'd have to say the first one because it was a new movie and characters. It was exciting and made us want more. So the second one people kind of knew going into it how the characters were (like personality). I mean the second one was exciting like the first one but besides different story lines the second one didn't have a "newness" to it like the first one did when it came out.
