I know. I was having a super bad day (Tuesday) and I was screwing up at work. I called the wrong guy. My friend was all like "LOL you didn't just call ______ about _______ did you?" And I was all like "No I don't think so". B/c I didn't want to look like a moron. =(
If it helps, I did admit to it yesterday over lunch.

I can't remember the last time I lied. Truth tends to be the better route. I would rather tell the truth, than whomever I lied to find out later and be really mad. 9 times out of 10 though, I lie to cover the truth because I feel like the truth is too hard to tell.

No, those pants don't make your butt look big. A friend asked me that. If she'd asked when we were at her house and she could possibly have changed them, I would have told her the truth. We were out, there was no way for her to go home and change, and there was nothing she could do about her unfortunate choice of attire, so there was nothing to be gained by telling her that her butt looked like the side of a barn, so I lied to keep her from being self conscious.

the last time i lied it was to myself. I told the lie because the truth was too real and yea i was protecting my friend.

I told the last guy who asked me out that I was already married. I did it because I get tired of having to explain......the guy was totally wrong for me and I didn't want to give him details of what I thought of him.
I guess basically I lied because it was the easy way out of the conversation.
(BTW, I know this answer made me sound like a b*tch but this guy was drunk and much MUCH MUCH older than me).
