Wow, I never looked at it that way. I hope next will be the age of "enlightenment". We alrady know that we cannot continue to destroy the earth as we are right now. we also have the technology to become independent from fossil fuels, now we just need to become smart enough to realize we will all benefit from alternative sources of energy. There are plenty of cleaner options out there.
