I have a lot of pet peeves, but the one that falls most under "rudeness" is when I smile at someone, say, "Good day" and then they completely act like I don't exist.
Other pet peeves of mine: bad driving, cell phones in public, bad service, out of control children.
I am 26, male and from Baton Rouge, LA, USA.

I don't like rude store clerks. I was in a shop with my hubby the other day and a store clerk was sitting in a beach chair, on the ground kind, right by the entrance, with her legs stretched out across the aisle and didn't even flinch or move her legs when I almost fell over them. She didn't even look up. She did it on purpose. It was my first steps when I walked in the door and I didn't see her at all. I ignored her. It doesn't do me or the world any good to feed hate. That was RUDE!

rudeness, gosh i see so much of it. One thing that really bothers me is when "older" people think they can be rude to you just because they're older than you. I think i am a very polite person and when i hold a door for someone, or smile in passing i expect the same courtesy, but rarely get it. I also hate people with road rage, calm down, getting mad and yelling isn't going to get you there any faster. People who dont use their turn signals are rude. cursing in public also bothers me, i dont want to listen to your trashy mouth.

You mean rudeness addressing things like where you're from or your age/gender?
I'd have to say rudeness about my gender or my religion. I can't stand the way some people treat women, or the ideas they have about them, it really sickens me. And I've almost gotten used to the rudeness about my being Catholic...it comes with the territory. Still, it sucks when I work so hard for peace and understanding and people throw it in my face.

People that don't care about their own saftey that they have to mess with ours by not using that little device on the side of their steering columns called a turn signal indicator!!!! Used for both lane changes and turn signals, it tells people of your intentions and doesn't make them guess what stupid move you are going to make. It's a simple thing to do, but 99.8% of the people here
in ca are just TOO LAZY to use that safety device!!!

When older people are rude by cutting in line, pushing, or shoving, or taking parking places by pulling directly in front of you-things like that. I always tell them, "And you say my generation is rude-look how you just acted." They usually apologize, but not always.

Lighting up a cigarette near me and not asking if it bothers me! Of course it bothers me whether I smoke or not, which I don't. People use to ask, but now they don't even bother.
