Christopher Columbus did -- four times. Cargo and cruse ships pass through it every day without any harm or other incidents. So do aircraft.

Personally... no. But many have made it through.
There is a theory that there are methane bubbles that come from the Earth in that area and that bubbles big enough can capsize freight size boats and anything smaller as well as bring down planes due to the large amounts of Methane in the air as a result of these bubbles.

Fantastic question,
I did it once on a rickety boat and I proper sh*t myself all the way through it...
I made it through fine, but the captain actually knew other people and boats that hadn't made it...
He had some theories about it, but yhou didn't ask what it is so I don 't have to type all of that.
