Yes it is. It has no impurities. But, you will find it doesn't have much taste, and therefore it won't really taste good. It is some of the "safe" impurities in tap water and bottled water (which is filtered, but not distilled), that makes it taste good.

yes, and no.

it won't hurt you to drink a small amount if most of your water is not distilled.

BUT - the problem is that distilled water has had ALL the mineral removed. that is very bad. If you drink all or mostly distilled water for a long time, the minerals in your body and bones will start being leached out by the distilled water. i am not making this up.

distillation is a particular process. It isn't like tap water, pure water, spring water. it is water without minerals.

It is....there're bottled distilled water for human consumption in the supermarkets. As for distilled water for vehicles, they're theoretically safe to drink, but they're more likely to be distilled from other water sources, such as factory wastes. So it's really a psychological factor there. If you're not irked, by all means, go ahead. Just remember that once the container's opened for 24 hours, it's considered unclean for consumption. The same applies to distilled water for human consumption.

No, it's strange but that stuff will kill you!
People say it's safe bacause it has had impurities, minerals etc taken out of it, but that's why it's UNSAFE.
As it passes through your system it absorbs all of your body's vital nutrients etc. Drink enough of it and it WILL kill you.

I'm worried by the amount of people saying yes, and who the hell would give that to a BABY?

No. Because it is distilled, your body will not be able to derive any nutritious value needed to replace the nutrients lost in normal body processes.

Yes it is fine. It is just pure water. They make it by evaporating water then capturing the steam. The steam then dissolves back to water.
