I Care!! And I really wish I knew why there are so few of us. The bar is so disgustingly low right now that anyone can put out an album. Perhaps its because we've been socialized to believe, want and like whatever the media tells us to. It seems like whatever the record companies spit out the public ravenously feeds on the trash that is now called music. And even the "indie" stuff has been raped by big business. I wish I was extremely talented, musically so that I could help the few who are out there end the masquerade and get back to making it REALLY about the music.

Because the record companies have force fed CRAP to the people for so long, the people have learned to like CRAP. Plain and simple. Talent in music ceased after 1990. The trend has been to bands that all sound the same, can barely play instruments, and have the same homogenious look. *shrugs* And then there is Rap, which I do not even classify as music. In any event, it's been going on for so long now, that I doubt there's any way to reverse the trend.

Beacuse society has grown into this big monster where shaking your T & A is a lot better and more acceptable than having an original thought and not lip syncing ...

"good" is a value term meaning that the value of the word is placed on it by the person(s) using it. While you may not find music to be "good" others may find it great.
