Nope, jury service is a civic duty. However an NHS staff that is called for jury service can apply to the judge to be discharged.Off course cogent reasons need to be given to the judge.

Anybody can be excused jury service, it just depends on your excuse.. My mother was picked for jury service, but as she is a Jehovah's Witness she replied to them that due to her beliefs she was not in a position to judge any Man, that was the duty of God. She was excused on religious beliefs !!

Im afraid not, jury duty is compulsary unless your religious beliefs prohibit you from attending or if you have a medical condition. Having to work is not enough. dont forget that you still get full pay, you have to by law.
the only job that is excused are the armed forces. So if you join the army as a nurse then your clear.

no longer regularly no, it may commonly remember on your causes for no longer wanting to attend eg. ailment( you may want to furnish a letter out of your gp putting ahead why you're unable to attend) or pre booked holiday clashing with the time you're meant to be on jury duty. no matter if you bypass, you're not from now on guarenteed to be picked besides so i wouldnt rigidity about it, yet when i have been you id bypass, you should locate it exciting and may even delight in it!

Anyone can apply to the court concerned asking to be excused but it is unlikely you will be if that is the only fact that you can offer. If you were to say you were one of a very few specialist staff however....................

i wouldnt have thought so unless you are a brain surgeon due to perform an operation or something like that
i doubt general nurses etc would be exempt
you would need to prove that you could be absent from work as your role is too important
