Oh, there's always something like one of the characters still has feelings for some childhood friend and she's really confused.

Or one of them think the other is cheating even though there is no such thing going on.

Of course, there's the kind where you have the characters who are already enemies but end up being lovers....there's a real rise in that plot twist...

Unrequited love between friends - one is attached and clueless until he/she breaks up and the friend has a change to make the feelings known.

Someone hapless with love meets a hot mysterious stranger and certain events cause them to fall for each other.

Someone who's given up on love has some kind of event to bring the perfect person into their life, but they resist because of giving up until that person changes thier mind.
