I don't have access to an engineering calculator right now, s you might think about asking this in the engineering board or the math board, but as I recall precalc, you need to take the cosine of 50degrees and multiply it by 300 to get the north distance. You take the sine for the east, or you can use pythagorean theorem to derive north from your 300km and your north figure.
All of the online calculators require radians instead of degrees for the calculation. I tried making the conversion but it's a pain using online calculators.
Ask one of the engineers.

Hey, is this one of those, "Over the Hills and Far Away" questions??? What are you trying to pull off--a scam. Let's be fair here, some people just don't travel much so how would they know the answer to this trick question???
