open credit union checking?

I'm trying to find a credit union in Newark, NJ that I am going to openchecking acc with them the age of 13. Because all the other banks tell i go to tell me i can have custodial account but i already have a job. I want control over my monrey and my mom who is african said if cant open account she taking all my money from me.

You will not be able to open any type of account anywhere until you are an adult at age 18. Minors (people under age 18) are not legally allowed to sign contracts.
