That will be quite a job. Are you sure you actually want "someone" else to help you? After having gone the course of the extrovert, however, are you sure that looking inward will be the true objective? An introvert is not always totally selfish, they just are totally concerned with self and their own thoughts and feelings, they are very shy, and don't like "people" around. There is no external environment for them. The entire world of the introvert would be totally for themselves, only, no one else could possibly intervene for they would be obtrusive. Do you really want that? If so - you have to begin looking at yourself. Become so familar with yourself that you know only what you think and feel. Like, love, yourself above all else. Do not care about anything except what is going on with yourself.
There is a possibility that because you are now an extrovert - you have already done that and didn't "like" yourself well enough to become introverted! Being an extrovert or an introvert is so totally individual. Because of that you may have to "know" yourself first!!!!!
Check yourself first before you ask someone else to "help" you become introverted - 1st you may not actually want to be introverted - 2d you may not "like" yourself well enough to become introverted - and 3d - and this is the most important - you may need "outside" influences and people, because to be introverted - you don't!

I had a problem with being too extrovertive, but now often I have a problem with being too introvertive. I think that it is important to know when your expression is appropriate. When meeting peoplee, like the first day of school or something, being an extrovert has many more advantages than being an introvert. Sometimes your zealousy can wear on your friends and you learn the less you talk the more your friends will listen. I think if you just stay cognizant to eliminate expressing extremely superflous thoughts you can do it naturally. otherwise the change may sprout from a bad event caused by your extroversion.

...And while you're at it, practice being taller, or practice having a new eye color.
Introversion / Extroversion is one of the dimensions that personality psychologists call "the big 8." These are 8 dimensions of personality that people have very difficult time changing.
You were extroverted at age 3. And you will be extroverted at age 83.
You can learn to have insight into introverts. Try spending more time alone without distractions like tv or radio.
Good luck.

Sorry you can't change the physiology of your brain. We introverts tend to use something called a "persona" for being in more extroverted situations. We like getting out and having fun, but we do it with a smaller circle of people. or will stick with an interesting conversation with one person instead of beeing the busy social bee talking to everyone about nothing.
Read The Introvert Advantage if you are truly interested. There are alot of things for extroverts in the book.

Hang around some introverts for a while. That should cure you of wanting to be one.

Good for you--work at listening intently, without forming a response as you listen.
Try the rule "speak when spoken to" and only answer the question. If you are naturally chatty, this will be hard.

Never resist your central nature.
You'll fail....... and you'll probably hurt someone when you do.
