If the Supreme Being visited little us and demonstrated who He was by speaking in every language to everyone simultaneously with the words "You've got me all wrong, here is the real deal, follow this from today" Could we?

Nah not likley. You see we'd somehow each interpert the deal differently or it would change with each generation and before you knew it, things would be just as they are today. Ppl debating the "word" of the supreme being. Someone's gotta write it down and someone's gonna get some little thing wrong and it's history repeating itself. Nice what if though. I'd like to see it happen if only to correct our path as human race. Like keeping us on course.

I think that some could change their views, but I think the vast majority of the "devout" of every religion would fight the new true message and still practice their old beliefs.

And, I think a lot of people would probably kill themselves if it was proven that they had been "wrong" all this time, even if the Supreme Being forgave them for it in the new message.

No,we couldn't; the reason for this is freewill,if we are told what to do we are in a totalitarian or dictatorship state. Christianity is all about making your own choice in everybody's best interests every step of the way. if we were simply obedient we might as well be poodles.

i dont see why not if god came down and so therefore proved that heaven existed everyone would really want to start over to get in! dont be too gloomy gloomy guy

I'm sure most of us would give it a go but then ... Old habits die hard so in my case i think i'd manage for a while (Fear you see) to then succoumb to temptation again!!!
