try using a support cushion, or wedge as they are sometimes called. Chances are the baby is just comfy that way, unfortunately it can cause the head to become lopsided, or flattened because the fontanels are not fused yet....can be serious down the road. My oldest son would not sleep unless he was on his back, and his head is still slightly flat in the back

When you take her to see her pediatrician again, make sure your baby doesn't have torticullis. (I think i spelled that correctly!) It's a condition of the neck muscles that developes in utero. The baby prefers having her neck bent to one side. There are exercises you can do to straighten this out. My younger son had this, and after doing the exercises several times a day for about 4 months, he was fine. Before you do anything though, ask her pediatrician. I'd like to think that if this is the case, it would have been diagnosed at birth, or during one of her first appointments with her doctor. You never know though!

You are learning that babies are just little, independent people... In this instance, you try to put your baby to sleep with it's head on the other side. DO NOT pile anything next to it to force this. Anything close to the baby's head could cause suffocation or increase the chance of SIDS. As another poster advised, check with your DR. if you are extremely concerned. Most head molding will resolve on it's own, but if you are worried, just ask the doc.

Good luck!

Get a sleep positioner, they're like under $10 and you can get them at babies r us and target. If you let one side of the head get too flat you have another whole set of problems and it's harder to keep them to one side the older they get.

I used to turn my sons' head since he cannot turn it himself. I did this for the reason of him possibly getting a flat head since he always favored one side like your lil one.

So, you can just rotate his lil Bean every night so he doesn't get the so called Flat Head!

Good Luck.

put her to sleep on her other side. Unless her head is becoming totally flat on that side, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you really are worried, call your pediatrician.
