NetMeeting is also a valuable tool, especially if one of the computers don't have XP. I know Windows 2000 doesn't support any MSN Messenger past 7.0 and Remote Assistance was only built into Windows XP and later.

The catch is if any of you are on a network you'll have to arrange to forward ports. If you're both using personal ISP service though it should work out fine. Just walk them through the process to set up NetMeeting, give them your IP and have them call you. Then have them share their desktop with the option for you to take control of it.

No i do not agree. i imagine pc has lengthy gone way too a procedures even as they ban 'the three little pigs' purely because Muslims received't like it! The loopy ingredient is, maximum Muslims say they don't look to be stricken by technique of the tale, they don't look to be allowed to devour pork yet they could nevertheless talk about it! So the pc fascists have imposed this stupid ban for no reason in any respect and performance purely aggravated each and every individual!

If you don't have any remote software to do so, a simple way to take control of his computer where you are doing the action on his PC while he watches is the new MSN Messenger Live. It has the capability to do so under: Actions > Request Remote Assistance. He would request the remote assistance from you, and then you can take control and show him what needs to be done.
