-6x-12=4-6x
6x+(-6x-12)=6x+(4-6x)
6x+-6x-12=6x+4-6x

Are you sure you have written the question right?
-6(x+2) = 4-6x should go to
-6x - 12 = 4 - 6x add 12 to each side
-6x = 16 - 6x then add 6x to each side to bring variable on one side
0 x = 16
No Can Do. check question.

No, dear, its not algebra, and i dont know what it is!!!!!
If you have wrongly typed the - sign on the left of the equation, i.e if the correct equation is 6(x+2)=4-6x then x= -2/3.

-6(x+2)=4-6x on expansion becomes:
-6x - 12 = -6x + 4
or, -12 = 4 __an obvious immpossibility.
therefore this equation for x has no real solution.
let us see why.
