He said he just found out about an STD from ex. I find out from ex that he's always had it and he knowingly slept w/ me without protection. I tested negative. Will retest soon.
Question is: Should I confront? How? Does he deserve any chance to explain his behavior? Why tell me now instead of before? Would you do this to someone, or have you ran into this situation?

Just to answer your questions.......you should confront him, you should tell him everything you feel, at least you deserve to have that moment of telling him everything......I do think he doesn't deserve a chance to explain his behavior, and is not a chance to talk to you, he just doesn't deserve another chance from you, since he couldn't be straight up with you the first time, do you think he will now??? People don't change and if he didn't value having a girl like you the first time, before he lied, do you really think he will a second time, please don't fool yourself. You should tell him everything you feel, but then you should look in the mirror and let yourself know that you deserve someone who can always talk to you about ANYTHING!!! Don't ley yourself have less than that....have that talk with him, get it out of your system and then free your mind, enjoy! :)

someone who loves you will NEVER put you in a situation like that! someone who loves you would never 'knowingly' potentially give you an STD! that 'someone' does NOT deserve a second chance ....
you should confront him...yes.
how???
by telling him that it more than hurt you by doing this to you....and that is, slept with you while he has an STD...knowing he could pass it on to you....
and, if he pleads innocence...like an 'i love you' 'please give me another chance...i'm sorry,' .....you walk away...and you say....'no, i'm sorry...i'm sorry i ever trusted you to let you into my bedroom/sex life/bonk/ etc....
and that is all he deserves...someone who loves you would never ever do that to you no matter how wonderful they seem to be towards you at the time.
you are worth so much more than that...and tell him that too. (yer, i guess i'm a little pissed that he did that to you...can u tell????) ;-)
p's yes i've been in your shoes, to answer your last question.

good luck

Give him what a chance to what? Infect you again with something else?

Dump him. You deserve far better. And DON'T have unprotected sex. You never can know if your partner has an STD or HIV, knowingly or unknowingly.

Nope, dump his sorry azz and tell him if you see him with another woman you will tell her right away. That is sick. He could be charged with a crime depending on the STD.
