There are positives and negatives. Usually taller buildings are built better, but then you have issues with fire.

As far as earthquakes go, the better building codes can help, but in certain earthquakes, like 1985 Mexico City, the shaking can resonate with the building to create extra damage. In 1985, 8 to 18 story buildings collapsed much more frequency.

Well, if the building is properly designed structurally, it is very safe. There are building codes that engineers must follow, whether in designing or in constructing..If these codes are meticulously followed, the building is safe, whether from earthquakes (up to a certain degree) , storms, or fires.

Yes, if the building is properly and struturally designed and having very good quality construction with fire safety measures etc...

In general I'm going to say no because they are harder to escape in a fire.

safe...very safe apart from that you can have good open view and windy
