yeah... a lot of people do that, also impulse shoppers do it more.
Credit cards are major contributors to that obviously, because they know that when people have credit they can buy more things and pay later at the high interest rates. And people do that because we live in a material world now these days, sadly if something is out of fashion you throw it out (if it covers your body who the hell cares?) we buy new watches so they look nicer and are more "professional looking" (if it tells time who the hell cares, they're not going to stare at your watch during a meeting) Then there's competition in school and the office of who has nicer things, like nice cars (if it gets you from point a to point b who the hell cares what you drive? its not like they plan on borrowing it anyway because there stuff is always gonna be "nicer") also with jewelry, and furniture, and cds, and mp3 players, and $300 cell phones (if you have signal, and you can call who the hell cares what you're calling from its just a device, with a number, that you can call from anywhere there is a cell tower) ugh lol thanks for letting me vent. check ya later ♥

I know a lot of people who do that. I think they are all a bit sad actually, obviously have nothing worthwhile in their life.
Personally, I have never and will never do that. If I don't have the money, I don't spend it. If I don't need something, I will certainly be reluctant to get it. And I definitely wouldn't get anything just to impress someone else. I get stuff for me because I want to.
It is a shame there are so many people(even half decent people) who think they have to get by on impressing others.

Not me, but that’s not out of choice, if rich mugs wanna buy cr@p they don’t need, like designer baby clothes! fine, I just hope one day its me who is selling it to them getting rich out of their stupidity!
I shop for cloths in supermarkets, but if I had money I wouldn’t spend like £700 on jeans only £70 at the most and every thing else below that, it takes not having any thing to make you see it does not matter, your enlightened and not going to be a mug any more be happy!

Shopping 'therapy' is a healthy part of the celebration of 'feels good' in MY relationships!!!
If my woman looks GOOD! then I feel good!
So, you go back over to your shanty over there, and councel some bag lady who actually has a couple million in the bank, but doesn't want to use a few bucks to look, and to feel, GOOD!

Its not ALWAYS to impress people we don't like. Sometimes it's to make ourselves happy, but that's one of the biggest problems with Americans.... Most are materialistic bastards.
