ANSWERMAN:
May I suggest you look at the standings?
The Tigers have 64 wins (with the 2-1 win over the white sox today) and Boston has only 58 wins.
The Tigers have a 6 game lead over Boston in the win column, so tell me how can you think Detroit wont win 100, but Boston will?
All The Tigers have to do to play a little over .500 to reach #100. Not only is that possible, it is HIGHLY LIKELY!

The Tigers are going to win 100 games this year
The reason we had those bad years is beacuse we had new players and didnt work as a team now is different they're kickin but
GO TIGERS!!!!

Tigers probably will. I really hope the Red Sox do.
White Sox will probably win 97-99.
St. Louis might not even make the playoffs..

At the current rate all the teams are going, the Tigers are the only team who is even close. They have something like 69 or 70 games left; if they keep playing at their current astonishing .670, they'll make about 109 or so games. Any other team would have to notch their game past .630, WAY past it, even the Mets. It is possible, but really not likely.
Just the Tigers have a shot at it, and only if they keep playing the same game they are now.

Red Sox, White Sox, Mets, so including detroit, that would be THREE. (Detroit will end up 95-67!)

only the Yankees, Dodgers, and Angels have a pragmatic probability for one hundred or extra wins this year. As for ninety 5-ninety 9 wins, i visit be certain any crew with a .550+ winning percentage at this factor having a shot.

Since the regular season doesn't really matter, not a lot.
Teams only seem to strive for a winning record so they can play in the play offs.
