guys, I have a laptop with a S-video output port , I want to connect the cable tv wire with the laptop. What kind of wire do I need to connect?

If you want to connect your laptop with the TV then you should buy a S-video wire, you can get it from any electronic store...
If you want to connect to the internet through cable wire, you need a modem for high-speed connection...

The s-video out port is so you can use your TV or projector as a monitor.

If you want to watch TV on your laptop you need to buy a TV tuner.

Are you talking about connecting your laptop to the tv? Get an s-video-to-RCA cable and hook it up that way, assuming your tv has RCA input jacks. You can always go through the vcr that way too if you have one.
