my favorite movie of all time! (but it's been years since I've seen it)

Not exactly a favourite scene, but....
I have seen the film about 15 times and laughed a lot everytime I saw it - but something happened that hasn't happened to me with any other film. Everytime Harold discovers Maude's concentration camp number I can't help crying.
This is the point where everything, everything, everything that happens in the film starts making sense and I fall in love with Maud again. It's about finding ways to survive and to cock a snook at anybody who doesn't want you to.

can't think of a fave cause it's such a GREAT film!!!! love when he sets himself on fire, the opening scene when his mom says so matter of factly 'cut yourself down from there harold' and the priest talking about holding congress with withered old flesh... it's just too much pressure.

I think this is an ok film, but I don't understand why some people are so dedicated to it.
