The GOP Congress has behaved horribly and has failed to live up to the expectations of the people who elected them. For that, many should expect a negative reaction.

However, by sheer luck, the GOP's opponent is the most inept and tin-eared political party in the history of the world. So, despite their overspending and pork barrels and indifference to Americans, they are still more electable that the increasingly incoherent socialist appeasers of the Dem party.

As bad as the GOP is, the alternative is 100% worse. The GOP will retain their control of Congress.

The WH is iffier, because sometimes an unexpected and appealing candidate can pop up out of nowhere and be swept into office. But the Dems won't gain the WH if Hillary is on the ticket. I guar-on-teee that.

Republican gains. Republican's will control the presidency, as the Democrats still do not have a candidate that the South will accept.

The population gains of the South will solidify its continued dominance of the political landscape, and the republicans still control the house. I see the republicans picking up one or two seats in the senate and about 12 in the House.

However, Democrats will have gains in governorships and state congress. This trend will bubble slightly, with a one term Republcan president elected in 2008, then defeated by a Democrat Governor from the South in 2012. History repeats itself.

The winds of change are blowing. predict a slight lean to the left in 2006, followed by a jump in that same direction in 2008. The winds will be still for three or four years afterward but won't blow hard enough to cause a shift back to the right until 2012.

I predict that if the Democrats don't win there will be a mass exodus from the US to more democratic countries, like Canada or Europe.

That is IF we have elections in 2008. The way it is looking this fascist administration will have a good handle on power and may not want to leave.

I think the Republicans will continue to control Congress. They might even win the Presidency again in 2008. They have a lot going for them--the courts, the churches, the press, the broadcasting industry all controlled by Republicans.

Republicans probably have a lot of Democratic maggots hidden in the closet and will throw them out just before the Nov. election in 2006 . With the help of the so-call Liberal media (Exxon) and Fox News Americans will vote Republicans again.
