I'd be pretty psyched! I'd think that would be so cool. However, I don't think the world is ready for another one of me! lol

I am a twin.
Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so good.
We aren't identical, but people still want to compare us (which is cuter, smarter, etc.)
It also meant getting about 1/2 what you'd get as a single (i.e. I thought my name was "and biwi" for years. on birthday cakes).
I did a survey among twins---we had about 20 sets at my high school (something in the water?). Of the fraternal, most would have sold the sib cheap. On the identical, about 50/50. The ones who really got along loved each other to the exclusion of everyone else.
Basically, it's hard enough to find your identity anyway, having a twin doesn't always help. Doesn't always hurt either.

I would be thrilled!
The unexplainable hole that I had felt all these years would be filled. I would be a whole person for the first time in my life. I would feel complete.
MY FATHER WAS A TWIN.... and his twin was killed in WW2. The night he went missing as a gunner on a Lancaster Bomber, for no immediatly known reason, my father jumped out of his bunk from a cold sleep (they both served in the RAF) in the middle of the night, and thoughts of his TWIN brother came to mind. The next day he was told his brother's aircraft went missing and did not return.
For the rest of his life, and till the day he died, not even the love of a family could console him. He was angry and bitter to the end.
My life, and the lives of his family have been made more difficult because of it. I have to catch myself, as I sometimes come close to displaying his anger.
IDENTICAL TWINS are connected physically, spiritually, and mentally. To lose half of yourself is traumatic. To find half of yourself would be elation! I can imagine that the other twins that answer this question will agree with me.
Embrace your twin, as my father never had the chance to embrace his as he was lost just after their 20th birthdays.

I'd say the other person is the devil because I've been living in this world without some kind of connection to someone else. If someone is a twin, no matter if they're apart, they would be feeling some kind of connection to that person within. So if I see someone looking exactly like me... I would scream and run away because the devil is playing tricks with me.
Blessings

I guess I would have to know that since I never knew I had a twin that the twin must have died before or during brith. That might be a bit sad, but I don't think I would be too upset. Best wishes

Go to work only every other day, let him take half of it. The only thing we wouldnt share would be my girlfriend. I would let her recognize me by a scar I have. I would just give myself a unique one (hidden from him of course) if he had a similar one. He could have his own girl. The other one could lay around the house, or find alternative ways to make money. It would be a beautiful thing
would only work if the twin was as smart as you and willing to have an exactly similar appearance (hair style, etc) and it would help if they were the same weight

I'd be happy to have a twin but I'd feel left out and mad. I'm adopted and dont know my birth parents, so if i had a twin, it would have been kept from me for 22 years.

If my twin had died, or they had given up one of the twins I might be feeling weird.
..But if I had a sister or brother who was a twin, I would certainly wonder why my parents would want to keep this from me...ie, wouldn't we celebrate the same birthday?

What a shock! There were two of me in the world. Although, I was sitting at a lunch counter with a mirrored wall years ago when I casually looked over to see who else was eating there and was shocked to see myself sitting at the other end of the counter, no I hadn't been drinking. It wasn't my twin but the wife of a service technician at the Lincoln dealership. I learned that later when we went in to look at cars and people started to say hello and call me by name(which wasn't mine). Scary.

I would be disappointed in my mother b/c she and I have a close relationship and that is something she could tell me.
But I would be EXCITED to meet my twin! I've always wanted to be a twin. I'd want to see how much alike we were.
