Did/do you watch either or both of these shows? Which one did/do you like or don't like? Who was/is your favorite singer out of the group? Open to all opinions, even if you dislike the shows, as long as you watched at least one episode!
I love music! I have watched a lot of music and talent shows (American Idol, America's Got Talent, Star Search, etc.), but I really like the Rock Star shows! This is what I want to see, the pathetic ones already weeded out! I grew up listening to INXS, Motley Crue and Guns 'N Roses so to see these bands reforming is pretty cool too!
My favorites from Rockstar INXS were Jordas and Marty! I also became a fan of Suzy toward the end! And so far my favorites from Rockstar Supernova are Dilana and Lukas! I really love Dana's voice, I don't know about for this band, but she is improving on that!

I never got around to watchin Rock Star INXS...I may have watched a few minutes.
I'm really liking Rock Star Super Nova. Gilby, Jason and Tommy aren't the kind of guys to hold anything back, which can make it interesting. I like Toby and Dilana...I think she really re-worked "Ring of Fire" well. Zaida...she's not that good. She's sucked pretty much the majority if times she sings out there. And what was up with blondie's channeling Courtney Love? That was quite sad, I must say.
Anyhoo...my friend watched INXS and says Super Nova is more entertaining...INXS held back, Super Nova...yeah, not so much.

INXS Was 10 times better than Supernova, they suck this season, and lucas isnt the type of singer for the type of band the guys are looking for. The original rock is what they are looking for and Lucas is a deathmetal gothy punkish rocker, he has no concept of what Supernova wants. Dilana looks as if she thinks shes some type of Demon princess, she cant move on stage, she cant think and sing at the same time. The Aussie dude, Toby, i think his name is, is really really good, he has Lucas beat. But Marty from INXS was the best, he had a great voice for what the guys were looking for, and along with writing his own music, he should have won.

Well I came into Rockstar INXS toward the end and ended up loving it. JD and Marty were my favorites .. actually Marty's acoustic version of the The Killer's song is what made me start watching. I tried to watch this year but gave up cuz I didn't see anyone who was really good. I mean last year there was like Jordis and Ty who were awesome but didn't really fit the band and on elimination night they sang old INXS songs... I just think this year it's a bunch of wannabes and there really isn't a lot of talent ... so I gave up ...

i watchced inxs, and got hooked al though im not into inxs ,i reckon there was better talent in the rockers on inxs im with you jordas and marty rock i also loved suzy
im more keen on super nova as im into the style thing jason newstead is awsome but so far i think the talent needs to step up a few gears cos this band will truly rock i like dilana and the ice man at this stage they are the only 2 i see that will cut it as for lukas im sorry dude but i think he a dik and we will see in future shows that hes limited i reckon hes doing his all now but dilana is cool but i prefer male vocals in those types of bands so im backing the ice man all the way .rockstar inxs definitly had better singers though just my view

I love this show as well.
I notice this year has an overall better crop of singers, but no one person stands out as a clear front runner. I like Jill, Storm, and Toby most. (Marty & Mig were my faves last year.)
Last year, the contestants had a bit of an advantage - they had a point of comparision because they were auditioning for an existing band. This year, Supernova has not made it clear what exactly they're looking for (I'm not sure they even know) nor do the contestants have a point of comparision for a singer - except for past projects of each of the band members. (GnR, Crue, & Metallica - not to mention, Butch Walker as the producer.)

INXS, I thought there was more talent. This ones ok, I'm not a Tommy Lee fan, but he's actually pretty funny. I don't even remember the names in the new one like I did in the last one, because alot of them bore me.

rockstar INXS, i liked Jordis, and i also like JD Fortune also Marty made the most progress, but the one who blew me away was Suzie when she sang Bohemian Rhapsody, i really wanted her to win but JD suited the band more.
As for supernova, its too early to tell who i like most but i like Zaida's personality, you have to be like that when your a rockstar, also Tommy lee is so hot i like watching just to look at him. SOO SEXY!!! yum

Saw only brief bits of INXS...didn't hold my interest! ROCK STAR-SUPERNOVA on the other hand is FANTASTIC! LOVE DILINA!!!
