old and new hippies having harmless fun ?

They camped out in our forest a few years back, came into town and were treated like crap by most, suspected of everything by the cops and generally were harrassed.........I waited on a lot of them and they seemed like really nice people, wish I could've gone out to their campsite and visited....

If you are talking about Noah's Family, that is awesome, cause the Rainbow is a sign for all nations that God will not destroy the world with water again.
So I don't know where in the world the gay people think that the Rainbow belongs to them or happy, or what so ever, in the ends of day the rainbow is not going to save them.

Sounds good to me.
I checked one out once out of curiosity. The "community" guidelines encouraged an alcohol free event. Police and forest rangers monitored the event. It looked like a lot of people getting together in the woods and sharing food.
Among the sub-groups of people at the event, there was a large group of people singing some sort of Christian religious hymns. They were just as welcome as any other group, including "Hari-Krishnas (sp?)". The singing was quite good.
Food wasn't great, but palatable.
The only bad vibe I got was from some locals who had recently signed up for the army. They were crashing peoples' tents looking for free alcohol. Nothing against our volunteer soldiers, but this was the only identification these individuals provided for themselves other than the fact that they were locals.

I don't think that its old and new hippies having fun. From what little I've read about them they have many of the characteristics of a cult religion.
