Its called conversation and getting to know other people and what they're thinking or feeling. A woman is all about communication (most of the time anyway), and that entails talking, talking and more talking. Its how we bond and connect with others. If a guy talked half as much as we'd like maybe we'd shut up more often and listen for a change. Think about it.

Some children play with dolls. Some children play with automobiles and balls. The children who are more likely to play with dolls are the ones (whether this be baby dolls or action figures) are the ones who are more likely to grow up with a good ability to communicate. Those children that play with objects that are not associated with human or personality traits, and are more action oriented, are more likely to grow up with less of a knack for communication, but more for physical interaction.
Talking is not about boys vs. girls; however, unfortunately our society has forced these roles upon male and female identification through marketing, media and gender stereotypes.

The females of most species tend to be noisier than the males. Go watch ducks! Verbal diahorrea, most of it! Sharing feelings? My eye! Chattering about inconsequential things like what 'she' was wearing and who 'she's' going with at the moment ... pah!
