Start with a real short heel and work your way up slowly. If they hurt the bottoms of your feet there are these new Dr Scholls gell inserts for even the tiniest heels. They're great, but I would only recommend them for shoes with backs, so they aren't seen.

i love heels but i cant wear the small heels i find them more uncomfortable. the higher the better . ease your self back into them strart wearing them for an hour than two three etc. heels are great they tone leg muscles and create the illusion of a slimmer leg

your feet need to adjust gently to the change , in the summer i wear flip flops and similar flat shoes and when i want to go out i wear heels i have pain in my arches from them not being stretched enough in this flat shoe time .
id wear them everyday just for a little while to loosen the tendons on the bottom of your feet and allow them to get used to it .
also massage you under feet and stretch them out a little to de stiffen them .
