Personally I believe it shouldn't matter how you look when you go to church, it is the motives behind going that matter... however I would suggest subtle tones - maybe a lightly shimmering apricot colour? It's up to you really. I just prefer subtle make up.

I have your same complexion and dark colour.Go for golds, not too shiny though, copper and browns. You are always safe with these colours.Try a beige base, some copper or gold over the eye lid and some brown at the end to stretch a bit the eye.Try Pupa or Deborah, they re cheap and great

Wear it very lightly and naturally. A lot of people see too much makeup as a sign of disrespect in church.
Also, many people find it inappropriate to show your shoulders in church, so you may want to bring along a sweater.

Try wearing a light pink beige. It will bring out your skin and since you have dark hair it won't make you look depressed.

you can wear whatever you're comfortable in. If you don't want to draw attention to yourself, try the subtle colors. Otherwise go bold!! (But prepared to be the freak show on the side! People will pay more attention to you than the sermon!!)

depends on the church right? if some churches want you to cover you your head, wouldn't having a big bare back and make-up seem extreme?
