I had a couple of tricks I used when I went back to college.
I would read the first line over and over until I had it memorized. I would add one line at at a time this way and each time I memorized a new line I would recite the entire thing out loud by memory starting from the first to last line. This way I kept reinforcing in my memory of all of the information I had learned first as well.
I also stuck sticky notes up all over my house with information on them. I put them where I would see them the most..on the bathroom mirror, over the kitchen sink, on my door, my computer screen, etc. When the information is in your face all the time it really does stick in your mind.
Sounds stupid, and yes my friends thought it was hilarious when they came to my house, but I returned to school after 33 years ( you forget how to study) and graduated with a 93% average. It really does work.

to reply to your questions: are you able to do a vow renewal? certain. that is a very quick and casual ceremony. Make all judgements about this and any social gathering to maintain on with as a spouse and under no circumstances as a bride. You were a bride 3 years in the past and now you're an old married couple. it ought to damage you socially and professionally to have a gown up social gathering to fake any diverse. A 2d ceremony? No. You had a wedding ceremony the day you married your acceptable pal, and that changed into your determination. be apologetic about does no longer erase that. you could invite your household and also you'll placed on any gown you want, although bridal lace may be extraordinary and also you ought to no longer have a veil or prepare. you ought to go with a colour and shrink that is unquestionably flattering on you. you may have a fine looking cake and a social gathering constrained through way of your funds and mind's eye. you only does no longer assume presents nor have any of the bridal such issues as tossing the bouquet. No first dance or dance with dad, and no man or woman is providing you with away. you do not have attendants or pre-vow activities or some thing like that. it is extra like an anniversary social gathering truly. no man or woman has to manage the vows, and for the reason that there aren't any good papers to signal, all of us ought to do it or you do not favor all of us. only study or recite besides the actuality that vows you go with to at least one yet another.. acceptable needs.

This is slightly counter-intuitive, but, if you want to memorize YOUR lines more easily and efficiently...don't concentrate solely on your lines! Instead, read the ENTIRE play/script as often as possible. The problem that most actors have with memorization is understanding the CONTEXT in which their lines occur. Once you become intimately familiar with the entire story -- and all the characters that inhabit it -- the more LOGICAL your character's role in the overall scheme will appear. You'll reach a point where their lines will seem to be virtually INEVITABLE...and you'll commit them to memory very quickly.

All of these answers are very good and you must make sure you have the lines down.
The first step should always be to get down BEATS .. meaning the objective of what your character is saying.
I like to work on my beats and then type the monologue out in microsoft word by creating a table with two columns. on the right I write the BEAT/OBJECTIVE and on the left i write the line(s) Each beat should be on a new line. Print it out and then go over it. Record yourself saying the lines, and listen to it at night as you go to sleep.

The easiest best trick I've ever used in my stage experience is writing the first letter of each work in a like
EX Hello Mr brandon, please have a seat.
Becomes
H M B P H A S
And just copy it all on a piece of paper and read it that way. You'll learn them faster than you might think!
