Sure! I have learned alot of things in all areas since I started doing this. like to be well rounded in my education. I suppose being obsessed initially in the website was not helpful, as I spent way too much time here. But I've calmed down now and just do it as a way to relax while working.

Sometimes. But basically, I hope that I am helping others. Sometimes an unbiased opinion is the best one. You ask a question and I answer it. I don't know you, I don't know the whole situation... I don't like you or the person you're talking about.. sometimes strangers are the best people to answer your questions.. they will be honest and tell you what you don't want to hear.

I like to feel that I'm helping someone else by offering a different opinion for them to think about. Unless they're complete idiots and need a good talking to, then I, like other people have a bit of a rant which, I suppose, is helping me let off steam!

Sometimes, thinking about the questions other people pose really helps to sort out my own views/beliefs on things, so I suppose, I am helping myself in a way.
Other times, I just think, "Why the Hell did I waste THAT much time on that site!?"

It stops me getting bored sitting in on my own when my daughters sleeping
I know it sounds daft but it gives me a connection to how other people live.
Also it's good to know im not the only one who has questions that only a complete stranger could understand

Of course it helps me .... I'm happy to answer questions if I can. I don't answer questions I am uncomfortable with.
If I answer questions I within my area of expertise I hope I'm not being a smarta*** but actually helping.
Sometimes answering daft questions makes me laugh and that is good for me.

Yes, I really learn by application and experience. So, when people ask questions and I try to answer them competently, I usually have to do some research or really rack my brain. Basically, I want to be informed enough to teach, so I have to teach myself. Sometimes, its a great review and refresher for me.

no, ofcource not!
then again, ya is where you can answer any question any way you want and write all sorts of gibberish without anyone finding out who you are, which is not something you can do face to face
also, i don't think ya was exactly made as a means of help

to a certain extent yes... through answering questions... (serious ones anyway), you have to dig deep and give a piece of yourself. For instance in order to effectively help someone you have to relate to what they are going through and when you take time to reflect on what answer you are going to give you take time to look at the things that have happened in your life and your trials that have been through. So, having said that ... through your reflection........ it brings back pain, happiness, love.. memories.. and all those things can help you ..................... and continue to help you through mistakes.. and the trials of life

This relieves bordom, and when you look at it, that could save lives. Many teens breathe in household products or play the get high game and die of boredom.
Of course I would never do that but others will and do.
