What is the longest time you've ever stayed awake in one time?

I stayed up for 4 days once, but that was my first manic episode (I have bi-polar) I ended up going nuts, nothing would put me to sleep. They ended up locking me in a room and shooting me full of medicine to put me out. Sad situation.

I stayed awake for 39 hours once for the 30 Hour Famine in high school.. I had to get up and go to school on Friday.. and then had to be awake for 30 more hours after that.. it sucked.. and I wasnt' allowed to eat anything. I missed school for 2 days because I was so exhausted afterwards.. Do you know that they say if you go for 10 days without sleep at all that you will die?

Two and a half days. It was the weekend when I met the man I was going to marry. We were having a contest with all of his friends, and my friends to see who could stay awake the longest. My future husband won (of course) I came in 2nd. But we beat everyone one else by far! We had just met so I guess part of it was that we wanted to spend every second together. It was the most fun I've ever had. Since he won, his prize, I guess, was well I that would marry him.

Two days. But I had to dig a ditch the first day for 8 hours. The second day was pretty much the same but less digging. Thank God. I almost got in a car accident driving home.

48 hours. Designing a webpage, but that was 6 years ago and the software and equipment were crude at that time.

58 hours. Me and my friends wanted to see how long we could go. I've also pulled off 50 hours with my family on a trip.
