at two months you should just play with him yourself....if your already wanting to "occupy" a 2 month old your going to have major problems when your baby gets older. but at 2 months old my son loved his mobile...just the cheap 15 dollar one we got at kmart....other than that my son didnt need any toys til he was 3 months...i got him a mat that he could lay on on the floor that had barn animals that sang and swang back n forth...he loved that too.

Since babies that young don't have much hand eye coordination, toys aren't really very essential so soon in your sweetie's life. Don't worry, as he/she gets older, there will be plenty of time and room for all sorts of creative toys, games and books.
A colorful music revolving mobile stimulates their vision and hearing.

At this stage your baby isn't mobile, so this is the time when you have the most "free time" as a mother ...LOL.
If you have a rocking chair, when he/she gets fussy, rock and sing to him/her. This is soothing to the baby and gives you both a sense of bonding and relaxion. It also turns what's anxiety producing into something you can both enjoy. Good luck!

Well my daughter is 2 months old right now, and her favorite thing is one of those play mats that have the toys hanging above her. She also likes laying on her stomach and trying to crawl.

for two months old,, need something without sharp edges, something soft which he or she can bite, usually they bite everything at this age
dont give anything hard which might hurt them
any soft stuffed toy will be good, no plastic toys ,, completely no metal and nothing with small hanging parts that can be taken out or swallowed
something they can hug and bite ,, also the color should be soft and smooth like pastel blue or pink.. or primary colors like red blue or green ....
