I don't really want to get a life and I'm addicted to the internet, so...I guess I go with the quiet night in...

Quiet night in, any time.
I'm a boring older woman with a wonderful husband and 2 young children.
I'm also Billy no mates and getting trusted child care for a night out is difficult.
But I'm not whingeing.
The children are in bed by 8, so if I want to, I'll cook a sensual supper, open some wine and make out that we're in our own private bistro.
At least you can hear each other, there's no smoking, the music is of our choice, ditto tv/movie. And you don't have to worry about getting home! And you can knaw each other's faces off without offending anyone! lol :))

I would prefer a quiet night in this saturday with my boyfriend. The reason is quite simple actually -- I am 36 and not into the big nights out anymore -- I love the quiet nights where you can snuggle in (mmmmm) after a long day.

Personally, i'd like to palm the kids off with a babysitter! Have a big night out, drinks, dancing..... then come home and as there would be no kids.... enjoy a night in with some soft music, candles and a lot of good lovin!!

A big night our with a crowd of friends is great. A quiet night in with just one special person is great too. Both have their place in a balanced life.

As I live with my man, I think a big night out with him and friends is what we are going to do this weekend - we all deserve it. Although I like having dinner parties as well - my neighbours don't they always go on into the wee small hours and we all love listening to music - they always moan and complain - we only do it now 4 times a year and always have to tell them in advance - spoilsports lol.
