I read your question. I am not engineering student but I finshed
my M.Sc.(Mathematics). But I try to give enough strength.
If you don't like it please ignore it. Becuase I also faced some problems in studies.
From your literature what you used in your "question", I understood that you are great depression and have attitude that
"impossible".
You can observe "possible" in "impossible".
I can advice you to come from that -ve attitude.
You can achieve your target.
For that you need to do (planned) hard work, subject collection,
discussion with learned people, collection and keen obserbation on previous papers, doubt clarifications, etc.
Importantly, you shoud concentrate on and go throgh of any topic 100 %. What I mean is that Don't learn 50%.
Because Question may arise from any level of " A - Z ".
You Know the story of "Ekalavya"?
I want you to be like "Ekalavya" ?

Since u r from an engineering background, it would be better for u if u join a good coaching institute like IMS or Career Launcher. It depends on u which to prefer but I would hav gone for IMS.
If its not possible, the first thing u must do is go n get the practice sets of being launched individually by all the training institutes and root that format of paper in ur heart.
Den the real task is ahead where u hav to upgrade evey sections of the paper. for dat u must get some good books for each n every section n try applyin all the tricks written dere to solve a question more efficiently.
Analyse ur marks on each section n den do work hard on any
loops n holes u find.
