take it from me im now going into the 7th grade. 6th grade math was a breeze for me. you do complex shapes wear u hav to divide the shape in halves and stuff and then multiply the sides and then divide the sides and then make it a half.OK i no i didnt explain that well but overall 6th grade math can be easy and it can be hard. also HAVE FUN in 6th grade this is kinda the time when u start dating and stuff and u can finally go to dances. It many be exciting that ur getting lockers but LOCKERS SUCK lockers make u late for class and then if u have a bad tempered social studies teacher he yells at u and u get detentions! But overall 6th grade WAS A LOT OF FUN but it was also a huge change. you will see wat i mean when u get there. HAVE FUN AND MAKE THE BEST OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. if ur a boy u will start to like girls more than u used to( i hear in 7th grade u really start to like them!)

if you work hard, pay attention in class, and ask for help when you need it, you will not have a problem. But don't be afraid to ask for help!! Don't get yourself all worked up and nervous about 6th grade math! If you did well in 5th grade, you'll do well in 6th grade!!
Good Luck!

Hard is a fuzzy word.
Its certainly hard for some second graders.
Its certainly easy for some college students.
Some sixth graders who are willing to work hard and enjoy the subject find it easy.
Some sixth graders who are entirely self absorbed and lazy find the subject nearly impossible.
So the question becomes "what does hard mean". I dont know your current state, so I cant tell if it will or will not be hard for you.
Edison said "innovation is 99% perspiration and 1%inspiration". Its really true in 99% of life. The people willing to show up and do the work are the successful ones. The slackers usually end up flipping burgers, or losing their career as midmanagement in dead-end companies when time for lay-offs come.
Here is a related heuristic to consider. An employee who makes exactly the value he brings to the company has a net value of zero to the company. Economically it makes no difference whether they are working for the company or not. An employee who is paid 1% of the value he brings to the company is very profitable. People who are lazy and self absorbed (as teens tend to be) end up being laid off because they bring in nearly the same as the take. People who build inside themselves the habit of working very hard, and giving away 100 times more than they take are nearly never laid off, and they are the kid of people who make the most difference in the world.
To get through school requires zero brilliance. There are techniques, and just work through it. Check out the guaranteed 4.0 book. I used it my first junior semester in college and had perfect A's in numerical methods, control systems, linear algebra, and english II. If you are willing to work hard, then you can do the exact same thing.
If you are willing to work hard.. its easy.

The brain is comprised of two hemispheres, one for the arts and the other for the sciences. Those with the scientific brain hemisphere will do well in the sciences which includes math. Yes, math can be hard for an arts capacity student. But more so, it is the positive attitude of the student, and perseverance that will get you through any subject, not super intelligence. I have known of intelligent students to are so overconfident they don't do well. I have known of low achievers who do superbly well because they give their education their all. Do not be afraid to go to your teacher for help, or if you don't understand, and ask if he/she knows of a qualified student who can peer tutor you or with whom you can share time. Remember, we can work hard but we cannot perform miracles. Good luck and try hard and God bless.

Math should be taken as a series of building blocks. If you are weak in math, work really hard at it and everything should be fine the succeeding years.

Anytime you learn new math it is hard at first. That is true all the way through middle school, high school, and college. Practice with a bunch of problems and it becomes easier.

Mathematics is not a hard subject, be it any grade. To master maths you need to understand it and practise it. If you feel you are weak in it then practise it more than required. Maths is just PRACTISE.

Remember nothing is hard if you will work hard and it is the man who created math not the math who created man and remember every thing becomes easy when you take interest in it.
Instead of doing math in your book you do it practically.
