Why is it easier to impeach a president who had oral sex than one who violates the constitution & breaks laws?

This is really puzzling me. And most parts of the world outside the US...

All right, all right. Bill Clinton wasn't actually impeached (but it was pretty close). Now for those of you who argue that Bush didn't break any laws, here are some points:

- breached federal law by ordering illegal wiretapping
- violated constitution and Geneva convention by incarcerating people without due process in Guantanamo and "black site" prisons; condoned torture
- violated international law by starting an illegal, pre-emptive war for no good reason

The Republican run congress we have right now will not allow impeachment. And don't bother quoting facts about which laws Bush broke, because the Conservatives here don't want to believe them. We accept the fact that Clinton lied, but they can't accept it that Bush did the same (lied). Apparently he's too pious to do so. If he (Bush) were to walk up to the Pope and slap him accross the face, they would find a way to blame Clinton. The President can do no wrong in the eyes of a far right Conservative.

You have a repuglican congress, that is the only reason that Clinton got impeached because what he did was no big deal. Now you have a repuglican congress and a repuglican president and you will not get these repuke's to show their shriveled up old,tiny little balls and do something about a president that is guilty as hell of laws domestically, ignores the constitution and has broken many international laws. Bill Clinton WAS impeached. He wasn't removed from office though. He was impeached for lying under oath (oh, right, and for looking straight at the American people and lying). There is no evidence that Bush has done anything illegal. Perhaps you don't like what he has done, but it isn't illegal.

I love it when libs boil Clinton's impeachment scandal down to a *******. It just shows that they have no clue.

specific, i might. My answer may well be a similar inspite of which occasion the President belongs to. whilst a President violates the form, the wonderful regulation of the land, they have committed against the regulation. and additionally violated the oath of workplace for the Presidency, to assist and safeguard the form.

It is easier to prove because you have just to take the statement of the woman who blew the instrument than to prove a constitutional violation which can lead to mere debates.

As has been said, he was not impeached for the Lewinsky scandal. He was impeached because he perjured himself in court.

My question is, why didn't Hillary chop his balls off after she found out?
