You are going on holiday ! Years ago, you would have been eligible for a free visit to Australia. If you commit a crime, get to the back of the line. If I were the USA, I wouldn't let you in EVER. All convicts should be shipped to the South Pole.

(I am from Canada) A long time ago I got a minor conviction for marijuana possession. I went to the States many times but then one time they pulled me over, checked my record and now I can not enter the US. I could have easily had my record pardoned in Canada before that time but I didn't bother (I have since erased my record). Now it is too late.

IF YOU WANT TO VISIT THE US GET A PARDON IN THE UK BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!

A direct flight to Mexico will be no problem - don't connect thru the States.

If you get into the State's computer system YOU CAN NOT GET OUT (even with a pardon in the UK)

GOOD LUCK!!!

If you are a convict you cannot visit the US because you will not be given a visa. Conviction by final judgment is a ground for denial of a US visa.

contact the U. S. Embassy right here and ask them the position you stand, also contact them contained in the U. S.-Immigration and ask even if there'll be a difficulty?in the journey that they say you'd be allowed in (in case you declare it on your waiver sort) get it in writing! in case you declare it on your waiver sort that you fill in on the plane then you fairly would face a lengthy interview from the immigration officials at their end so be prepared. What you study may be that you are able to visit the U. S. below the visa waiver scheme so long because it is below a ninety day visit.both way you nevertheless might want to tell them so i'd get on the phone asap and talk to someone about it.

That's if you need a visa, I believe. If you visit on the visa waiver program, only certain offences matter (involved in the nazi persecution of the Jews, convicted of offences of moral terpitude(?))

Mexico is not part of the US, so it is only a problem if you are flying via US.

I suppose it depends on what the conviction was for. Ask at the nearest American Embassy
