Uh excuse me, but the original ECW was doing hardcore matches similar to the Big Show/Flair match as early as 1992 when the promotion started. TNA wasn't even thought about then. I remember going to an ECW match live in 94 where it was a double dog collar table match, and it ended with the real Pit Bulls putting their opponents thru flaming tables.
No offense, but before you post a question like this, to quote that insurance commercial with the cavemen: "Next time do a little research".

First of all, learn how to spell. Second, you need to learn about your wrestling history. TNA is the latest organization to have copied off of ECW (after XPW, CZW, 3PW and others), which in turn copied off promotions like FMW, W*ING and IWA in Japan and the WWC in Puerto Rico, as well as other American promotions such as the NWA Mid-Atlantic and Memphis (to a lesser extent).
You can trace hardcore wrestling back to the 1950s, with men like Freddie Blassie, Abdullah the Butcher, The Original Sheik, Crusher and Bruiser, and John Tolos contributing to the early hardcore style. Later, others like Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Carlos Colon, Hercules Ayala, Eddie Gilbert, Tiger Jeet Singh, Atsushi Onita, Tarzan Goto, Mr. Pogo, Masato Tanaka, Mick Foley, Sabu, Dusty Rhodes and Tully Blanchard made some notable contributions over the years in cage, barbed wire and fire matches, as well as various death matches. Without the contributions of these men, you wouldn't have hardcore wrestling.
See? You learned something and I got 2 points. Guess we both win.

Umm...no junior. TNA copied the original ECW and the original ECW copied promotions in Japan such as FMW where hardcore was invented. TNA wants to be like the old ECW and as much as I like them, they will never be like it. Neither will the new ECW.
