Depending on where you are, you may have to hire an attorney. In the US, you cannot avoid it.

Oh my God. Im sorry...This is about the most awful thing ever. You phone up the |P|robate Office Tel: 0845 30 20 900 Helpline. There are two types of forms one for a lower level of estate value and the other for the higher amount. They will guide you. Try to do it on your own as Solicitors fees for Probate are excess. Dont fill in the form straight away...do it in rough and then fill it in afterwards. Be careful how you answer it. When you phone they will send you the necessary papers in about two days at the most and with those papers you have to choose which Majestrates Court you wish to go to. Not all Majestrates Courts deal with Probate but the Probate Office gives you a l ist for you to chose from. All you have to do when you go there is to swear that the Will is a true copy and then its all over...if its not a contestable will. Hope this helps you because I think this is one of the most awful things one has to do. Good luck

Probate is getting the permission from the Court for the Will.
It gives the authority to the executrix to do things as stated in the will. but if one of the heirs of the executor contest this in the court then the court will decide the way it should be taken forward

Contact the Probate Registry in Brighton. They will send you a form.
You normally need to swear an affidavit to say that you and the will are genuine,
