It definitely does not.
People define things the way they want some place it will be a fashion statement in others an unacceptable act. People usually take that as a fashion statement and if you are getting any compliments try figuring out the people who are giving compliments, if they are knowledgeable and serious then the trend of your place might be like that but if they are leg-pullers or pranksters try not to be troubled by their opinion. The sureness of the trend is impossible to be certain for the fact. It will waver from time to time. Try getting a masculine looking ear-ring that suits your face cut also and people might even appreciate the look.
Robbie Williams is not gay as far as the rumors go and why should you be getting affected by the lifestyle of a celeb?
Figure it out
that's the way it works always

Firstly, Robbie Williams is not gay. My father likes him and he's conservative. Secondly, no it means he's immune to pain or his dad's gay and his mom's not opinionated. The logic behind this is: girls' ears are usually pierced as infants so as an adult choice to make, it hurts more: don't ask why but it maybe because memory of the pain is buried like peat under other childhood questions plaguing the growing mind: such as how can people have sex with their clothes on, and later after an elder sibling explains it..eww do they have to be naked? So if a boy's ear is to be pierced as a baby it cannot be with the consent of any sane mother (apart from Courtney Love- and Frances is not a boy) and the father would do this for his sonna only if he thought it improved his physical and hence psychological status in the sandbox with other boys..meaning dad's gay and his word is weightier than mom's.

In the 80's a single earring in the left ear was said to indicate that. Today, I doubt it really matters. People pierce everything now.

I have always heard that if a man wears an earing on the right ear, he is indicating that he is gay (and alternatively, that if he wears it on the left, he is straight). No?

I always thought an earring in a guy was cool. I never knew one meant he was guy. Thought it was just a cool look
